Horseshoe Height P.S. June 2026 Newsletter

Principal’s Message:

As we step into June, it’s hard to believe how quickly our first year as Horseshoe Heights Trailblazers is coming to a close. May was an extraordinary month filled with celebration, creativity, and community pride, and I want to take a moment to reflect on all that we accomplished together.

One of our biggest highlights was our Grand Opening and Arts Night. It was truly inspiring to see so many families join us for this milestone event. The evening was filled with joy and connection as our Glee Club and Choirs delivered outstanding performances that showcased their hard work and talent. During Arts Night, our Grades 5–8 students impressed us with their musical abilities, and every class displayed beautiful artwork that transformed our school into a vibrant gallery. Thank you to our staff and students for making this night such a memorable celebration of who we are as a school community. We were also proud to have students from Mrs. Crawfords class along with members of our Glee Club, represent our school at the SCDSB Arts Festival. Their participation highlighted the creativity and confidence that continue to grow within our student body.

On the field, our Rugby team wrapped up their season with determination and teamwork, and our Intramurals program also finished strong, giving students opportunities to stay active and have fun together. Our school community came together for a fantastic Track and Field Day, filled with energy, encouragement, and school spirit. We are excited to cheer on the students who will be representing Horseshoe Heights at Eastview next week.

This month also marked an important milestone for our Grade 3 and Grade 6 students, who have been working diligently on their EQAO assessments. We are proud of their perseverance and focus throughout the process. Finally, we were thrilled to welcome our newest Trailblazers during our Welcome to Kindergarten event. Meeting our incoming students and their families reminded us of the bright future ahead and the many new memories we will create together.

As we look toward the final weeks of the school year, I want to thank our students, staff, and families for making our first year such a remarkable one. June promises to bring even more opportunities to learn, celebrate, and grow as a community.
